湖南吉首人，硕士生导师，博士毕业于中南大学，获评湖南省优秀博士学位论文、湖南省自然科学优秀学术论文二等奖、湖南省优秀毕业生。已在IEEE TII、IEEE IOTJ、IEEE TGRS、Neural Networks、Chaos Solitons & Fractals、Expert Systems with Applications、Nonlinear Dynamics等国内外SCI期刊上发表论文40余篇，其中以第一作者身份发表论文24篇，6篇论文入选ESI全球高被引论文，2篇论文入选ESI全球热点论文，Google学术引用次数2400余次；主持国家自然科学基金项目1项，湖南省自然科学基金项目2项，主持湖南省教育厅项目2项、中央高校研究生自主探索创新重点项目1项，参与国家自然科学基金重大项目1项和面上项目2项，参与市科技厅项目1项；参与出版专著2部；担任IEEE Trans系列、Expert Systems with Applications、Signal Processing等20余个学术期刊的审稿人；曾担任Symmetry、Frontiers in Physics期刊客座编辑。

研究方向：多媒体信息安全、智能优化算法以及人工神经网络等交叉学科方面的研究

硕士招生专业：计算机科学与技术（学术型）、电子信息（专业型）。
